Private Tuition, Public Education and Us

Image: https://dailyfamily.ng/5-symptoms-of-a-stressed-child/
It is very much common to see students in Sri Lanka attend to private classes for the same set of subjects which they learn at school. They don't spend their leisure time on learning something new, innovative or somewhat creative. They don't have enough time to analyse about the contents they learn. Basically they are not learning. They are just taking a screenshot of the contents they hear and see and then store it in their brains.
But why exactly they seek private tuition? Is our education system in schools that much corrupted? not up to the standard? Is that the real reason behind the fact that students take private tuition? Recently this question has come to the table during a discussion I had with some tech people. The main reason they pointed out was that school teachers don't teach well in school because they conduct their own private classes and in order to hunt more students and make money out of it, they ignore their responsibilities as a teacher. But is this the actual reason? because according to my experience I have seen so many great teachers out there who have been teaching students by staying after school even. Not only that, they conduct extra classes during weekends and also provide meal to students without charging a single penny from them. So still, why these students stuck up with private tuition classes?
Scholarship examination is really special to students and it is more important to parents than students I must say. The reason behind the importance is that without getting an exceptional score these students cannot go to a so called popular schools in Sri Lanka. These popular schools are limited. So there's a huge competition.Likewise when it comes to Ordinary Level (O/L) examination, again students have to face the same problem because that is the second milestone in their lives to find a popular school. Again the same issue arises due to limited set of popular schools. Then comes the Advance Level (A/L) examination. This race never ends. These student again fight so hard to get the best out of best because they know universities in Sri Lanka don't have enough space to acquire all the qualified students even though they are successfully get through the exam. So how can they get this opportunity? How can a student be the best among everyone if he or she only knows the contents which others also know? How can he or she compete with the knowledge he/she gains out of his/her school? Even though his/her schools provide the best, then how can he/she be outstanding compared to the other students in the same school. So without being exceptional or outstanding how can they access these limited educational resources in Sri Lanka?
This is where we built up this private tuition mechanism. That's why it became so popular. Parents don't like to take a risk with their child's education because every parent try his or her best to give the best thing for his/her kid. But they don't know the fact that at the same time they ruin the core values of a human being. These kids always be in a competition and because of that they'll be stressed out. They lose their creativity, critical thinking skills and also humanity because they have no time to recall that.
Even parents don't want to see their child in a all tuition class all the time because even parents have to go there and hang around somewhere till these classes are over. Both child and parent lose their quality time. But they are not willing to take a risk with their kid's life.
Private tuition is not a bad thing. It is required. But the purpose has been changed and with that, the society purposely tends to forget what's more important in life.

The main reason is in our education system from grade 1
They are only teaching targeting engineers, docs, lawyers, etc
Then What about other sectors ? As a eg..
A first office from emirates, or quator airways is having a salary twice than a most paid government worker in srilanka
A tec guy at Kia mortoars will get also a high payment
So our kids from the beginning will drop from such sectors..

The problem is not looking for the main reason. The problem is not either to search for what the problem is. But still, helping hands always go forward to find the reason behind the situation in according to assist their best. Spread smiles. Heal the world. Good efforts. Hats off !!!

Education is essential to reach a new vision, new world, better world. For all living beings and the environment. The world need every type of people in order to maintain a balance. How to find all kind of talents?

Humans are born to the world with an empty sheet of paper we call as mind. It learns how to function using the brain. It finds It see the world. Grab it as it like and write things down in its own paper. It finds what it can do. What he cant do. And then, it meets the world.

"Hellow World".

And what the world gives back? Education. A system of it. with two assistants. You can't show what you capable of to the world when you are stucked in a system where you cant find a matching path for you. You know A, You love A, You cant find more about A, You see B,C,D,E,F,..,Z.
You miss that A. The world ask you. learn all the letters but A. You learn all, How ever complete and you finally you reach the world and become
a part of it and look at a mirror. Its not you there. you dont have that A.. and without A, you are not yourself. You are just, a part of the world.

The world doesn't know how to help you. Its too late and you don't know how to help you. Assistants didn't do their job well. But in the end you feel
happy. Because you are a part of the world now. You don't even know how extrodinary you would be, with your love.. With your A. What is A now?

Education... does not have to be a system.

Photography..!!!

Sir John Herschel,he was the one who first used the term in 1839.That is the year the photographic process became public."PHOTOGRAPHY" is derived from the Greek words for light("phos") and writing/paint brush ("graphis"). There are two distinct scientific processes that combine to make photography possible. The first of these processes was optical. The second process was chemical. Photography is so useful for human beings....Scientists have used photography to record and study.Security forces use photography for recognition and data storage. Specially Photography is used to preserve memories of favorites and as a source of entertainment. finally i want to mention this as well... U cannot be a photographer as soon as u get a camera...u need a creative eye to capture the view through the camera... mhhh.... i don't know whether i have that creativeness or not coz still i don't have a camera..... :( Like to be a Photographer...!!! Have a nice day.. frie
